Site Size

We are looking for plots of at least an acre, preferably larger. Each site will be considered on its own merits and each development is a bespoke design to suit the nature of the site and the local area. A range of sites have been developed and examples of existing homes include Virginia Water developed on 0.9 acres, Esher with 1.5 acres and Mobberley, which was a development on a 6 acre site.

Virginia Water

Formerly a pub, this 0.92 acres (0.37 hectares) site is situated adjacent to Virginia Water station. Redeveloped to provide 58,000sq ft of accommodation over four floors, although due to the sloping nature of the site, it is only a two-storey facade to the main road. Sunrise cares for up to 86 residents in Virginia Water. Opened in May 2002.

Esher, Surrey

Sunrise gained planning at appeal for this assisted living community on a 1.5 acres site in Esher, Surrey. The 55,100sq ft (5120 sq m) community is located on highly visible junction of the A3 and can provide care for up to 80 residents. Construction started in March 2005 and the community opened to residents in June 2006.

Mobberley, Cheshire

Planning permission was negotiated for a new Sunrise home on the site of a former nursing home at Barclay park, Mobberley in Cheshire.
