Success Stories
Sunrise of Mobberley
Planning consent was granted for this 3-storey, 72,000 sq ft building in February 2005. As with all developments we endeavour to establish a good relationship with the planners and we were fortunate in this situation to build and excellent working relationship with the Planning Officer and Conservation Officer at Macclesfield Borough Council and English Heritage. This enabled us to overcome the potential difficulties encountered with the number of protected trees on site, the proximity to the Grade II Listed building and the site’s location within the green belt and local conservation area. The site was previously occupied by a derelict nursing home and totals 6 acres. More information can be found here.

Sunrise of Edgbaston
This Regency-style building sits naturally in the Calthorpe conservation area on a site that was previously occupied by a listed building. For all Sunrise developments, the local vernacular is carefully considered resulting in a bespoke design for every site. This development is a great example of Sunrise’s ability to deliver its assurances: that a Sunrise community would make a greater contribution to the conservation area than the previous building. We believe that we have produced a high quality building, enhancing the street scene and providing quality accommodation for the discerning seniors of Edgbaston. Planning was granted in XXXX and the unique building opened its doors to residents in 2006.
